Ichinokura
Founded in 1973 (Showa 48), Ichinokura was established through the collaboration of four breweries within the prefecture. In 1977 (Showa 52), the brewery launched Mukansa Honjozo Karakuchi as a second-class sake, which became a major hit. In 1983 (Showa 58), Ichinokura established the Ichinokura Sake University to promote the enjoyment of sake. The brewery has also been a pioneer in introducing innovative products, such as the low-alcohol sake Himezen in 1988 (Showa 63) and the sparkling sake Suzune in 1998 (Heisei 10). In 1993 (Heisei 5), a new headquarters and brewery were completed. Since 1994 (Heisei 6), Ichinokura has actively engaged in community-focused activities such as the Kurabiraki open house event and the Ichinokura Microbial Summer Camp.In recent years, the brewery has focused on improving working conditions, earning the Kurumin certification as a child-friendly company and promoting paternity leave for male employees.
