Yamauchi Shuzou

Our brewery, located in Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, is the smallest sake brewery in Japan, with a history dating back to the Edo period.With an annual production of just 50 koku (about 9,000 liters), we are a truly small-scale brewery. We use the soft spring water of Onozawa, which flows from the mountain behind the brewery, and adhere to traditional methods.
