Urano, the brewer of the Kikuishi brand, was founded in 1864 (Genji 1) in this region. The name of its flagship brand, Kikuishi, was graciously bestowed by Sanage Shrine, which venerates the natural monument of Kikuishi found on Mt. Sanage, a sacred peak in Mikawa.For over 160 years, we have honored traditional sake-brewing methods while embracing modern techniques to craft exceptional sake.Kikuishi is renowned for its gentle umami, delicate flavor, and clean, refreshing aftertaste.
