Touwa Shuzou

Towa Sake Brewery was founded in 1717 near Ikunojuku on the Kyoto Highway. Today, it is the only sake brewery in Fukuchiyama City that produces sake under the brand names "Fukuchi Sanman Nisengoku" and "Rokkan".Although the brewery has a long history, it is a revived brewery that resumed its own brewing in 2011 after a 33-year hiatus since 1977.Currently, the brewer's eldest daughter serves as the Tamba chief sake maker, and the brewery's employees make small quantities of sake by hand.
