Shindou Shuzouten

Founded in 1868(Meiji 3).The brewery is located in the eastern corner of the Yonezawa Basin in Yamagata Prefecture, at the intersection of the snowy Azuma Mountains and the Ou Mountains.In this environment rich in natural blessings, the brewery produces its signature brand, Kurozaemon series, as well as Gasanryu and Izumi Hyokan, using rice suitable for sake brewing from Yamagata Prefecture, grown mainly by seasonal workers in the brewery's own rice fields, and with unconventional and free thinking. Brewery tours and tastings are not available.
