The brewery was founded in 1871 by Hanjuro Shinohara, who was the chief priest of Kunitsuhikomikoto Shrine located in Yatanchi, Matsuyama City,Ehime Prefecture.Since its foundation, we have been brewing sake with subterranean water from Mt. Takanawa, which has never dried up, and rice carefully cultivated by contract farmers in the local Mt. Tateiwa area. Weekdays from 9:00-12:00 or 13:00-16:00 (free to attend, free tasting).Please call or email at least one week in advance of the desired date for tastings and visits.Visits and direct sales can be arranged without an appointment during these hours.
