Okada Honke

Hyogo, KinkiFounded 1874

Our company was founded in 1874 in Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture. The name of our flagship brand, Seiten, is derived from the Meiji Emperor's Grand Enthronement Ceremony, which took place around the time of our founding. Brewed with the subterranean water of the largest river in Hyogo, the Kakogawa River, and locally grown sake rice from Hyogo Prefecture, Seiten is produced with a commitment to traditional handcrafted brewing methods. As the only long-established sake brewery in Kakogawa City, we continue to create sake that is deeply rooted in our local community.
