In 1878, we started brewing sake near the first torii gate of Tanzan Shrine in Sakurai, which is famous for its autumn leaves.The brewery is located in front of Shorinji Temple, which is home to the national treasure, the eleven-faced Kannon, and has been blessed with beautiful water since ancient times.The eleven-faced Kannon (Goddess of Mercy) came from Miwa, so it is said that the God of Water and the God of Sake also reside in the Kannon holding a water bottle.Using local rice and local water, our motto is to brew sake that will please everyone.
