The third generation head of the family, Masaaki Shinna, began producing and selling Okinawan-style awamori in 1920.In 1945 (Showa 20), the brewery was exposed to air raids and the entire brewery was destroyed by the war. The following year, with the help of rationing and support from relatives and friends, a temporary factory was built and distilled spirits were brewed using Awamori seed malt obtained from Okinawa.After that, efforts were made to improve the facilities, but in 1977, the damage caused by Typhoon Okinoerabu was so severe that the company relocated and built a new factory, where it continues to this day.The representative brand is "Tenkaichi".
