Nanbubijin brewery

Nanbubijin

Iwate, TohokuFounded 1902

While our brewery was established in 1902, it wasn’t until 1951 that we adopted the brand name Nanbu Bijin. At that time, many Japanese sakes lacked the refined flavors and aromas that we see today. With a desire to create cleaner and more delicious sake, we named our brand Nanbu Bijin, drawing inspiration from the “Nanbu” region—known for its rich natural environment and abundant water—and the concept of a sake that embodies beauty and elegance (bijin).
