Founded in 1804. Since its founding in Matsuoka, Eiheiji-cho, blessed with good water, by the first sake brewery owner, Nizaemon Ishidaya, we have pursued sake brewing that is unique to Kuroryu Sake Brewery.Based on the philosophy of "making good sake", we have always explored new possibilities for sake, and have been a pioneer in the industry.Our goal is to create a sake with a delicate umami that brings out the flavor of the ingredients themselves, Yet, it has just the right amount of flavor and complements the food.Yet it has a moderate flavor, and elegant taste that seems to be close to the local food of Fukui. Products are available for purchase at Ishidaya, a retail store adjacent to the brewery.Please note that brewery tours and tastings are not available.Business hours: 10:00-16:30, Closed: every Sunday (with occasional holidays)
