In 1705 (Hoei 2), in Oze—a former post town on the Nara Kaido connecting Osaka and Nara—our brewery was founded by the first-generation Tohbei. In 2005, we celebrated our 300th anniversary.Today, the 13th-generation owner personally serves as the brewmaster, dedicating himself to crafting sake with meticulous care. With a focus on high-polish rice, handmade production, small-batch brewing, and bottle pasteurization, we continue to prioritize quality and tradition in every step of the process.
