Founded in 1907, our brewery originally produced sake. In 2003, the fourth-generation owner, Makoto Nakazono, launched the shochu brand JOTOKUYA. Together with his family and two dedicated brewers, he has been crafting artisanal shochu ever since.As part of our commitment to establishing a sustainable lifestyle rooted in our region, we prioritize local ingredients, local water, local climate, and local brewers. Through this approach, we continue to take on the challenge of crafting shochu that reflects the unique terroir of our home.
