Fukui Yahei Shouten
Since founded in the Kan'en era in the middle of the Edo period (1603-1868), we have continued our sake brewing in Katsuno, Takashima-cho, in the Omi region for over 270 years. The name "Haginotsuyu" was given by the feudal lord at the time of the founding of the company in reference to the bush clovers that grow along the shores of Lake Biwa. Using high quality Omi sake rice and water from the Mt.Hira range (sweet and soft water), we aim to create a mellow, delicious sake with a clean aftertaste that is easy to appreciate the more you drink it, the philosophy is "Sake to savor, not to get drunk". Weekdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Tours of the brewery are not available, but sake tasting and shopping are available.
