Founded in 1830 (Tenpo 1) in Asahi, Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, a region surrounded by rice fields and woodlands, Asahi Shuzou has been crafting sake for over 190 years. The brewery uses soft, pristine groundwater from the local aquifer, high-quality sake rice cultivated through collaborative research with regional farmers, and techniques passed down from the Koshiji Toji group, combined with technological innovations rooted in fundamental research.Dedicated to producing sake that reflects its Niigata origins, Asahi Shuzou adheres to a policy of prioritizing quality and putting customers first.
