Kochi, ShikokuFounded 1903
Founded in 1903, our brewery's main brewing facility is even older, housed in a building constructed during the Edo period, which has been carefully repaired and improved over time. The name Akitora is inspired by Aki Kunitora, a samurai who ruled the eastern region of present-day Kochi Prefecture during the Sengoku period (16th century).Surrounded by the sea, mountains, and rivers, we craft sake in harmony with nature, aiming to produce gentle, food-friendly sake that serves as "nourishment for the soul."
